SUMMARY:
Our client in the Stainless Steel industry, has an EE opportunity available for a Senior Project Mechanical Engineer in the Middleburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

BSc/B Eng or B Tech Mechanical Engineering degree
GCC and People Management Diploma
10 years Mechanical experience, of which 5 years must be in the engineering and management of Capital Projects in Heavy Industry
Steel manufacturing industry experience
Knowledge on conceptual design and engineering, contract and construction management, project and team management, costing and cost control
People management skills
Communication skills (written and spoken)
MS Office

KPAs:

Ensuring that designs, engineering and construction activities conform with the OSHAct, Construction Regulations, Codes of Practice and associated design standards including internal standards and procedures
Conduct feasibility studies to improve and expand the capacity and capability of the plant and machinery
Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
Ensuring designs are robust, tried and tested and utilizing quality components and systems from trusted suppliers
Recommends improved mechanical maintenance methodologies
