Senior QC Coordinator (SMPP Fabrication Workshop/Offshore) – Walvis Bay

SUMMARY:
Ensuring sufficient coverage for all QC requirements across the Heavy Steel Manufacturing Workshop all projects.
+10 years’ experience as a QC inspector in Heavy Steel Fabrication, onshore/offshore, mining, petrochemical or oil and gas industry.

POSITION INFO:

Namibian National

Matric or NQF Level 3
NQF level 5 or 6 will be advantages
SAIW Welding Inspector Level 2 or equivalent
Qualification as a RT film interpreter will be advantages
Qualification as an LPT/MPT/UT/RT technician will be advantages

Job knowledge required:
ISO 90001 – In depth knowledge
AWS D1.1 – In depth knowledge
ASME IX – In depth knowledge
ASME B31.3 – In depth knowledge
DNV 2.7-1 – general understanding
ISO 17020 – general understanding
ASME V – general understanding
Experience as an IPE will be advantages

Key Performance areas

1. Ensuring sufficient coverage for all QC requirements across all projects without hindering production progress
2. Implementation and adherence of code requirements across standard workshop activity without deviation
3. Review and implementation of specific client requirements without deviation
4. Providing technical support and guidance to the production team
5. Training and developing the QC Inspector trainees
6. Ensuring ISO 90001 compliance
