We are looking for a dynamic Senior Quality Engineer to lead with precision, solve with purpose, and drive quality excellence.

The key job outputs of the function include, but are not limited to:
- Drive customer satisfaction through effective problem description identification and applying a logical approach to problem solving by utilizing robust problem-solving techniques.
- Stimulate 8D action plan closure and measure effectiveness of countermeasures implemented.
- Establish good relationships across the entire customer base through effective communication and responsiveness to concerns raised.
- Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements.
- Prepare, measure and drive IPPM reduction with focus on reworks, FTT, scrap reduction and continuous improvement.
- Manage the QMS CAPA (Corrective Action, Preventative Action) process through PDCA cycle.
- Identify gaps in QMS through maintaining an audit schedule with specific focus on shopfloor related activities and activities.
- Actively participate in launch team activities with specific focus on highlighting possible process non conformances based on risk assessments, FMEA’s, SOP’s and CSR’s.
- Manage and conduct internal audits.
- Promote operational quality awareness, training and improvement actions based on LPA Process.
- Facilitate daily KPI reporting to Plant Manager and Operations team.
- Consolidation and reporting of KPI’s in preparation of monthly BOS.
- Monitor and Track Customer Scorecards.
- Analyse and implement corrective/preventative action to improve all KPI’s
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Engineering / Qualified Toolmaker NTC 6.
- Diploma in Quality (Advantageous) / Advanced Knowledge of quality systems.
- Computer literate (Intermediate to Advanced MS-Office skills).
- Lean Training / Six Sigma Black Belt (Advantageous).
- Fully competent in problem solving, 8D / PDCA / ISHKAWA / 5 WHY.
- Knowledge of multi-disciplinary manufacturing processes.
- Read, understand and interpret technical drawings, CAD, part and assembly.
- 5+ years’ experience in quality in an automotive environment preferably in a Press shop environment.
- Knowledge of IATF16949 / VDA6.3 / IQSB / Ford Q1.
- Personal attributes: strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivator, resilient, ability to work under pressure.
- Strong Leadership abilities / manage cross functional teams / Communicate with customers.
