Senior RF & Microwave Design Engineer

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, our client is seeking a Design Engineer with 8 years plus experience.

POSITION INFO:

Strong understanding of the various manufacturing technologies and techniques employed in the manufacture of high-frequency modules. Key outputs include design and implementation using design methodologies, design baseline management, system engineering aspects, configuration management and quality assurance.

 

Qualification and Experience

• BSc/BTech Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 8 to 10 years within the specific engineering discipline
• Experience in RF system architecture and design, RF circuits, digital and analogue signal processing, and system simulation
• Laboratory experience
• Microwave Office, CST, LT Spice, Matlab tools experience
• Schematic capture and PCB layout tools experience
• Requirement Management Tools experience
• Design repositories experience
• Project Management Tools experience
• Electronic test equipment experience
• Experience in RF antenna design
• Excellent presentation skills and technical writing skills

 

Key Result Areas

• Upkeep and maintenance of the common laboratory area, equipment and design tools
• Element leader in a project
• Conceptual designs
• Design and implement detailed designs
• Participate in design reviews and project technical reviews,
• Identify and manage “Tools of Trade” related to the specialization/discipline, including design software, equipment and facilities
• Assist with procurement, maintenance, training in the use of discipline-specific tools
• Participate in the establishment of critical technologies in the company
• Support the Company proposal/quotation generation process
• Assist with budgeting for capital expenditure and expenses
