Senior Resident Engineer (Civil)

SUMMARY:
A well-known consulting engineering company with offices in South Africa and in Africa, requires the full-time services of an experienced and professionally ECSA registered Civil Engineer for the position of Senior Resident Engineer with strong experience in Road Rehabilitation.
This is an on-site contract position in Pretoria - 12 months contract, possibly renewable.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities: This will be night work and will involve localized patching and overlay of the entire carriageway. Qualifications Must have a minimum of a BEng, BSc or B Tech in Civil Engineering degree. Must be registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist (PrEng or Pr Tech Eng) Valid driver's license essential Must be willing to travel, and medically fit to work on construction sites. Experience Must have a minimum of 10+ years' site experience on similar road rehabilitation projects as a Senior RE . Experience with asphalt overlays is essential. Job Profile \/ Skills Proficiency in civil engineering principles and practices. Expertise in asphalt overlay techniques and materials. Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project management. Ability to plan, coordinate, and oversee construction activities. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
