    A specialist mining consultancy is searching for a Senior Resource Geologist to lead advanced geological modelling, Mineral Resource estimation, and exploration advisory across multiple commodities. This is a senior technical position suited to a results-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced, consulting-led environments, someone who can work across the value chain, deliver high-quality outputs, and mentor others in the art and science of resource estimation.

    Your impact:

    • Drive end-to-end Mineral Resource estimation projects across gold, platinum, copper, iron ore, coal, and industrial minerals.
    • Execute geological modelling using both traditional and implicit methods.
    • Apply exploratory data analysis, domaining, geostatistics, and reconciliation processes.
    • Deliver accurate, defendable block models and Resource statements.
    • Compile and contribute to technical reports in line with JORC, SAMREC, and NI 43-101.
    • Serve as Competent Person where eligible and qualified.
    • Support clients with exploration planning and decision-making.
    • Manage and validate geological databases, QA/QC, and internal admin protocols.
    • Train and guide junior geologists on software, methods, and technical reasoning.
    • Contribute to proposals and develop long-term client relationships.

    What you bring:

    • MSc in Geology (essential).
    • 8+ years of geological experience, including:
    • 5+ years in production geology
    • 5+ years in Mineral Resource estimation
    • 5+ years in consulting (experience may overlap)
    • SACNASP registration (required).
    • Technical depth across Datamine, Leapfrog Geo, Leapfrog Edge, and Surpac.
    • Strong writing, reporting, and client engagement capabilities.
    • Organised, deadline-driven, and proactive with a quality-first mindset.
    • A team player with mentoring skills and a drive to uplift internal capability.
    • Willingness to travel within South Africa and across African jurisdictions as needed.
