Senior Risk Control Practitioner

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Stainless Steel industry, has an EE opportunity available for a Senior Risk Control Practitioner in the Middleburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum qualification NADSAM (National Diploma in Safety Management)
• 3 years’ working experience as a safety/risk officer (Essential)
• Knowledge of the OHS Act/COIDA and ISO 14001
• Knowledge of the Columbus Stainless SHE management system and operations will be an advantage (Desired)   
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications is important.
• Good communication skills needed as they will interact with management and employees
• Physical fitness will be required
• Must be able to work independently and in a team

• Reduce number of injuries 
• Attends Departmental Safety Meetings
• Maintains SHE Systems  
• SHE Audits and Investigation of Incidents and accidents 
• Reviewing of Occupational and Safety Risks  
• Ensure that personnel attended Safety Induction Training  
• Promote safety awareness
• Maintains Adherence to Environment Legal Requirements  
• Maintains Occupational Health  
• Maintain Emergency preparedness  
• PPE Quality Control 
• Legal Compliance  
• Monitor outstanding SHE actions/Electronic system
• Adhoc SHE Projects
