Job Title: Senior SHE Manager

Job Description / Responsibilities:

• Must have formal Qualification with Objective and Evidence of implementation.
• 8-10 years’ experience in a Chemical Company within South Africa, Preferably Batch Manufacturing.
• Must have a good understanding of local and Governmental Regulations, as well as Process Safety background.
• Construction Safety Knowledge is advantageous.
• Must be Shopfloor orientated, work well with Blue Collar and Site Engineer. So be able to interact effectively with many levels, from Shop Floor to Regional Managers.
• Can generate a Safety Culture & Behavior amongst the Staff.
• Be able to hit the ground running as we have some big projects underway, so also Construction background.
• Must be an individual that is hands on, with the ability to handle high levels of stress, and can work independently.
• Take Ownership and accountability for KPI & TTI (Targets to Improve).

• Knowledge of SHE principles, guidelines, and regulations.
• Experience in a Chemical Company within South Africa, Preferably Batch Manufacturing.
• Develop and implement programs and policies that comply with SHE standards.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and investigations.
• Train, educate and motivate employees to promote safety and health.
• Manage and monitor SHE management systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Computer and data analysis skills.

• Must have formal Qualification with Objective and Evidence of implementation.
• Professional SHE certification.
• Proven experience in SHE management.
• In-depth knowledge of South African health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and audits.
• Computer and data analysis skills.
• Management and organizational skills.

• Negotiable depending on Qualifications and Experience.
