Senior SQL Database Administrator

PBT Group has an opportunity for a MS SQL DBA with 5+ years of relevant experience who would be responsible for maintaining and administering multiple organisation''''s databases.

Duties:

• Database maintenance including building of indexes, scheduled jobs, clearing locks, space management and back-ups
• Maintain backups and restore databases
• Maintain database access
• Database restore, deployment and structural changes
• Implement data change requests
• Performance tuning
• Assist with the writing of T-SQL code
• Configuring and management High-Availability Databases
• Define and document database standards and processes

Experience:

• In-depth knowledge of MS-SQL, including database replication and preferably SQL Always On. 
• Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• SQL Mirroring, replication and log shipping, management of files and file groups, table archiving and partitioning, SQL DR technologies, SQL backup and restore
• Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)

Qualifications/ Certification:

• A degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Business Administration / Commerce or equivalent
• Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
