Senior Security Analyst

POSITION INFO:

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a Senior Security Analyst – Linux to join their team in Sandton. They offer competitive rates, stability, growth and a great working environment.

Requirements

Maintains security documentation, hardening the systems, and regular reviews of all systems used in the daily operations of the Agency.
Conducts and supervises threat and vulnerability assessments and prepares status reports and recommendations for appropriate action.
Develops and maintains procedures for maintaining the security of equipment and information.
Security (certs associated with this are Security+, CEH)
Linux (preferably Red Hat Linux. Understand Linux security and administration
MS Windows (Windows Server. Understand Windows security and administration
Basic network knowledge
Vulnerability Management - Any experience with Nessus (Security Center). Quite an easy tool to learn.
Patch Management
Time Management. Deliver reports and projects on time
Vendor relationship - setting up penetration tests for the business
Project Management

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Four years of experience with Linux systems.
Experience with network security tools such as Snort, Nessus, Tripwire, etc., is preferred.
Security + CEH certificates
