POSITION INFO:

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a Senior Security Analyst – Linux  to join their team in Sandton. They offer competitive rates, stability, growth and a great working environment.

Requirements

• Maintains security documentation, hardening the systems, and regular reviews of all systems used in the daily operations of the Agency.
• Conducts and supervises threat and vulnerability assessments and prepares status reports and recommendations for appropriate action.
• Develops and maintains procedures for maintaining the security of equipment and information.
• Security (certs associated with this are Security+, CEH)
• Linux (preferably Red Hat Linux. Understand Linux security and administration
• MS Windows (Windows Server. Understand Windows security and administration
• Basic network knowledge
• Vulnerability Management - Any experience with Nessus (Security Center). Quite an easy tool to learn.
• Patch Management
• Time Management. Deliver reports and projects on time
• Vendor relationship - setting up penetration tests for the business
• Project Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Four years of experience with Linux systems.
• Experience with network security tools such as Snort, Nessus, Tripwire, etc., is preferred.
• Security + CEH certificates
