Senior Security/ Network Engineer

SUMMARY:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric essential.
• Certifications such in Fortinet NSE 4 certification or higher, Cisco CCNA, CCNP highly preferred.
• Open to SA citizens with a clear criminal and credit history.
• Valid unendorsed Driver’s License is essential, with own vehicle (preferred).

• Network maintenance. Making sure system backups are running in case of a security attack.
• Implementing network security blueprints prepared by security architects.
• Managing information and data access.
• Maintaining and updating firewalls and testing the organisation's network and systems.
• Cyber security analysis.
• Cyber security process implementation.
• Pre-sales engagement.
• Project work.

• Proven experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Fortinet and Cisco network and security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, VLANs, and VPN technologies.
• Expertise in firewall administration, security policies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing technology landscapes and client needs.
• Must possess an ownership mentality and a willingness to take responsibility for tasks through to completion.
