Senior IT Service Delivery Manager required for a well known Scottish business, based from central Glasgow.
The company:
They have been going for over 50 years and have an IT team in Glasgow of nearly 150 people. As well as the team in Glasgow, they have teams dispersed across the globe, including Australia, USA and Brazil. They operate in a specific energy field and have been the market leaders really since their inception.
The business are still to determine their office policy post Covid, however it is looking likely that it will be a hybrid model, working from home/the office, two to three days a week.
The role:
This is a pivotal position in the business, with great responsibility. You will be responsible for an overall team of nearly 50 individuals, with 5 direct reports. They aren''t looking for a ''steady as you go'' individual, but rather a disrupter. The team are in a solid state at the moment and are quite comfortable, so this person will take them to the next level.
The team is split across Glasgow (mainly), with people in Brazil, Dubai, the US, Russia and Australia. You will be focused on managing the wider team as well as operations and growing the team. You will be a part of a self-improvement project across the team and around the service-desk domain (development and training). You will own the roadmap for the IT Service Desk platform and be an advocate for the team and company, out networking and using this to your advantage.
Skills required:
** Experience of leading a global Service Desk
** Ability to own the roadmap for the IT Service Desk platform
** Able to deliver continual service improvements, leveraging automation, and enhancing data to improve decision making
** Strong knowledge of IT Operations
** Mentor, grow and help develop staff in your team (self-improvement programmes)
** Innovate Service Delivery across the organisation
