SUMMARY:
International IT Projects company based in Sandton, requires a top notch Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultant to join their team. The role will see you to be based at either the Sandton or Cape Town offices (but be open to travel as & when required)

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing technical leadership on customer engagements & developing/evolving best practices for delivery of ServiceNow solutions & services, in a client consulting environment
 
Minimum requirements:
Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, MIS or related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in systems design & development experience in delivery of ServiceNow solutions
  • Experience in delivery of IT Service Management solutions
  • Proven experience as a key technical resource leading the development of solutions in client environments
  • Knowledge of, or preferably experience with, Web Services, API’s, Database-level integrations/ETL
  • Windows/Linux Operating System, Virtual machine configuration & connectivity
  • Knowledge of, or preferably experience with, Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.) & working a SaaS environment
  • Knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL & other such technologies
  • PMBok / Prince II / SCRUM Qualification or equivalent
  • ITIL/V3 Foundation Certified

Duties & responsibilities:
  • Lead workshops to gather business/technical requirements
  • Hands-on implementation based on functional requirements
  • Consult customers on industry & ServiceNow best practices
  • Lead & own all technical aspects of project delivery & solution delivery including
  • Core system setup, including knowledge of the configuration management database (CMDB)
  • Application UI configuration
  • Application security
  • Performance & coding best practices
  • Workflow configuration
  • Provide technical input to Solution Design Document.
  • Translate customer business requirements to solution outcomes.
  • Development of required client specific reporting, including configuration & development of metrics & KPI’s with Performance Analytics.
  • Development of requirement integration components (SSO, LDAP, etc.)
  • Lead customer instance version upgrades from planning to deployment
  • Interface with ServiceNow technical teams, such as Cloud Infrastructure, to successfully set up the SaaS platform
  • Be a key member of the overall implementation project team
  • Prepare all client facing & internal deliverables that are technology related
  • Drive the continuous improvements of our implementation methodology & service offerings based on client experiences
