SUMMARY:
Senior Software Developer required to join Company based in Somerset West. To develop new software for external licencing and maintaining existing software.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Matric and software related experience/certificate
BSc Computer Science or other Software Development related degree
Experience in Software Development

Knowledge Skills and Attributes:

Advanced programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Linux, NodeJS, CSS, HTML
Strong understanding of application design in JavaScript and usage of Promises and the JavaScript event loop
Familiarity with webOS and Tizen an advantage
Good verbal skills
Good time management skills
Attention to detail
Good listening and people skills

Responsibilities:

Develop and Maintain Arcus Player software:

Maintain and develop the Arcus Player Software for SoC based platforms
Port Arcus Player Software to future hardware and software platforms
Perform end-to-end testing of Arcus Player Software
Assist with 3rd Tier support of Arcus Player Software
Provide technical support to internal departments using Company software
Provide technical support to external clients as forwarded by internal Company support staff.
Maintain documentation for the internal and external software platforms to assist with training needs.

Assist with Development of other existing solutions:

Assist with development of existing software where required
Assist with development of new software solutions based on client requirements
