Senior Software Developer (Full Stack)

SUMMARY:
A telecommunications company in Pretoria is seeking to employ a professional Senior Full Stack Software Developer to their dynamic company

POSITION INFO:

This role involves the managing, planning, design, testing and implementation of Software Platforms and Architectures, using the latest technology languages, integrating different platforms.
The position will require the individual to support the Roadmap requirements of the various businesses within the group to deliver efficient software applications and web site updates to enhance the customer first, mobile first approach of the business.

Position Summary & Objectives:

Manage and develop the following key performance indicators relating to the design and deployment of Software Applications and Integrations to facilitate:

• Front End Development and Web-Site Deployment and Management

• Back End Development and Integration to front end systems in a structured manner

• Documenting of all architecture and maintenance cycles of each platform

• Back End System Integration to 3rd Party API End Points

• Maintenance of Sand-Box Environment for Testing prior to deployment

• Planning and Execution Management of 3rd Party Contractor Management when required

• Design, test, and ship quality front-end and back-end code to support operational and cross group requirements to improve delivery efficiencies and automation

• Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies in collaboration with stakeholders across the whole product group

• Contribute to our engineering standards to continuously improve the consistency and quality of our growth codebases and processes

• Debug production issues across services at multiple levels of our stack

• Document feature designs and architectural decisions

• Contribute to the technical and product roadmap

Duties:

• Full stack web developer, Managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment

• Self-starter with the ability to design front and back-end systems

• Analytical thinker

• Maintaining and upgrading the software following deployment

• Managing the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications

• Overseeing and guiding the analyzing, writing, building, and deployment of software

• Overseeing the automated testing and providing feedback to management during the development process

• Modifying and testing changes to previously developed programs

• Managing the Architecture of the OSS/BSS and related systems integration roadmap

• Managing the platform health and stability

• Managing 3rd Party developer and internal developers to achieve rapid turn around

• Define and manage the Software platforms and architectures required to deliver the optimal solution for the group

• Providing accurate and timely report on projects delivery to management

• Engage with relevant partners to ensure successful delivery of projects

• On a day-to-day basis, manage and ensure all daily tasks are completed

• Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to-time by management

• Work well in a cross-functional team

• Knowledge of Low Code Workflow Platform, Quickbase

Desired Experience & Qualification:

• Minimum of 6+ years in Software Development

• Minimum of 6 Years of PHP development

• MVC framework experience a must, preferably Laravel, CakePHP or similar

• MySQL

• Javascript/JQuery (advanced skill required)

• HTML

• CSS styling

• Bootstrap

• API design and implementation, including integration of external API’s

• Web-Site Design (Mobile First approach)

• E-commerce Site Design and Integration to 3rd Party Databases

• Debugging and problem-solving skills

• Project Documentation and Version Control

• Preferably someone who has worked with/or at an Internet Service Provider previously

Salary:

R45 000 ctc
