Senior Sous Chef Tanzania
POSITION INFO:
Looking for a Senior Sous Chef for a Lodge in Tanzania.
Experience required:
5 years’ work experience in a fast paced 5* environment
Have a good verbal understanding and a written knowledge of English
Formal Culinary training is advantageous
Understanding of level 1 health and hygiene for food handlers
Good knowledge of food preparation, knife skills and food service
Pastry knowledge will be an advantage
Passion for kitchen management – including all kitchen administration, general hygiene and people management
Computer literacy
Duties include:
Directs food preparation and collaborates with head chef and executive chef
Produces high quality plates, ensures consistency
Assists with menu planning, inventory and management of supplies
Good all-rounder who can fit into any department in the kitchen
An understanding of working remotely
Control waste management and strive to waste as little as possible
