POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

• Lead conceptual and detailed design development for multiple complex projects
• Provide efficient structural engineering solutions, utilizing both modern design software and first-principle hand calculations
• Assist with budgeting, resourcing, and outsourcing within the department
• Draft technical reports and present solutions at conferences or to potential clients
• Mentor junior engineers, allocate work within the team, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle
• Supervise construction works for compliance with design and specifications
• Manage sub-consultants and contractors, and support financial management of projects including forecasting and revenue recognition
• Assist in marketing, project bidding, and development of new business opportunities
• Maintain existing client relationships and ensure high client satisfaction
• Support drafting and submission of EOIs, RFQs, tenders, and proposals
• Ensure successful project delivery on time and within budget

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Structural Engineer (15+ years is preferable)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience post-professional registration
• Strong proficiency in structural design software and hand calculations
• Excellent project management, budgeting, and financial forecasting skills
• Exceptional communication and report-writing abilities
• Ability to mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians
• Expertise in managing client relationships and business development
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Quality assurance and attention to detail throughout the project lifecycle

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
• Professional registration with ECSA
