Excellent career opportunity with international wealth business of leading financial services group. Reporting to the Tax Manager you will be responsible for:

• Responsible for review of client ad-hoc Income Tax on selected surrenders or switches.
• Keeps abreast of all tax legislation and practices. Provides guidance to business around the interpretation of the VAT, Income Tax and relevant Case Law.
• Responsible for review of CGT reports submitted to group for the tax returns
• Responsible for reviewing VAT chargeable on fees/commission.
• Champions the automation of tax processes and provides guidance to the business to ensure compliance with legislation.
• Reporting and Tax Management:
• Advises on tax aspects of transactions and projects undertaken by the organization.
• Assists in development and implementation of tax systems planning opportunities for the organisation and ensures that all requirements e.g. data flows/reporting are met.
• Assists with developing tax planning opportunities.
• Assists with the analyses of all new transactions and new products from a tax point of view. Interprets or assists with the interpretation of VAT Act, Income Tax and Relevant Case Law & Provides guidance to Tax Accountants around the interpretation of the VAT, Income Tax and relevant Case Law.
• Responsible for preparing or ensuring the preparation of monthly reports on all tax aspects.
• Responsible for monitoring the submission of monthly and Bi Annual Income Tax return.

Qualifications and experience

• B. Com /3 yr. accounting diploma/Tax diploma/tax honours/H Dip
• Minimum 3-5 tax accounting experience within financial services
• International tax experience is adv or
• Recently qualified CA with 1 years’ experience.
