JOB DESCRIPTION:

Company description
A financial services company that operates across the African continent is looking for Senior Technical Accounting Manager to join their team. This manager will be responsible for managing the Technical Accounting function across the group. The company is looking for an individual who has strong problem-solving abilities, a team player who is able to multi-task as they will be working with a broad team.

Responsibilities:

Creating and maintaining the group accounting
Interpreting, communicating and advising on accounting standards and disclosures
Drive accounting standard changes
Assist with continuous review for various business segments
Implementations of accounting policies
Dealing with IFRS

Education and Experience:

CA(SA) accreditation is essential
Big 4 background will be advantageous
5 to 10 years’ experience in the commercial space (post article)
Experience in the insurance, financial services or similar industries is preferred
