Senior Technical Product Manager: Remittance

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Communications Technology is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager: Remittance on a contract duration of 5 months.

Role Overview
The Senior Technical Product Manager: Remittance is responsible for the strategy, design, and delivery of remittance products and platforms that enable secure, fast, and compliant money transfers (domestic and cross-border). This role ensures alignment with regulatory frameworks, customer experience goals, and enterprise technology strategy, while driving innovation in digital payments and international money movement.

POSITION INFO:

• Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related discipline (mandatory).
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc in FinTech, Payments, or Risk/Compliance) – advantageous.
• Professional Certifications (preferred/required):
• Payments certifications (e.g., Certified Payments Professional – CPP, AAP/NACHA).
• Compliance: CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist).
• Product Management: Agile Product Owner (PSPO, SAFe POPM).
• Cloud/Integration certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP, API Management).

• Relevant Experience
• 10–12 years’ experience in product management, financial services, or fintech, with at least 5+ years in remittance or payments-focused platforms.
• Proven track record in delivering remittance/payment systems, digital transfers, or cross-border payment products.
• Strong understanding of payment rails, FX processes, correspondent banking, and mobile money ecosystems.
• Experience embedding AML/Fraud controls, sanctions screening, and KYC/identity verification into remittance products.
• Hands-on exposure to digital channels, APIs, and partner integrations in payments.
• Prior experience with regulated financial institutions, fintechs, or global MTOs preferred.
