JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Technical Sales Engineer in the Pyrometallurgy Business Area

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To achieve at minimum and exceed the sales budget by securing new business. Drive the development of new markets to successfully gain market share and stay ahead of competitors.
Constantly evaluate, change & adapt the sales approach to meet the business needs and that of prospective clients.

REPORTING TO:
General Manager: Sales & Marketing

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales budgets
Compile competitive tenders ensuring accurate pricing is taken into consideration
Negotiate contractual conditions with clients
Prepare tender budgets
Assist in the preparation of press releases ,market tracking & sales forecasts
Plan and manage the company’s presence in exhibitions and conferences
Assist and guide the project team in commercial & technical interpretation
Build client relationships that will be beneficial to the Company

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

A B.Eng. /B Tech in an engineering discipline (mechanical , metallurgical, electrical, process)
Global economics and market analysis will be advantageous
Sufficient commercial experience to negotiate legally binding contracts
5-10 years’ experience within the smelting, mining or steelmaking industry
Knowledge of Ferro- alloys and ironmaking highly advantageous
Experience in design and project environment, with the ability to convert complex technical concepts to saleable products
Understanding of process design
Understanding of I.o.T and digitalisation in relation to engineering
Project lifecycle knowledge essential
Advanced Excel knowledge
