Senior Toolmaker - Roodepoort

SUMMARY:
Our client in Roodepoort is looking for a Senior Toolmaker with 6+ years toolmaking experience in the plastic industry, fine tolerances and high-precision tooling.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Qualified Tool, Jig and Die Maker (Red Seal)
• N4 Mechanical Engineering
• 6+ years toolmaking experience in the plastic industry (injection mouding)
• Create, diagnose and resolve mould defects, maintenance and repairs
• CAD/CAM systems - Solidworks, Edgecam / Mastercam Experience
• CNC programming - Proficient on ECO and NPO
• Experience with precision measuring tools, micrometers, callipers, verniers, gauges and CMM's
• Design and fabricate jigs, fixtures and templates
• Manufacture complete moulds from engineering drawings through to part validation
• Understand and apply correct feed rates, spindle speeds and depth of cut to optimize CNC machining operations
• Operate and program EDM machines, full understanding of EDM process
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
