SUMMARY:
Our client in the Financial Sector, has an EE opportunity available for a Senior Underwriter, based in the Centurion area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Degree in Commerce
• Postgraduate Qualification would be ideal
• Regulatory Exams for Key Individuals (RE 1) would be ideal
• 5 year experience in short term insurance
• Insurance Accounting experience - 3 years
• Good understanding of Underwriting Management Agencies (Binder holders) - 2 years experience
• Reinsurance experience - 2 years
• Understanding of underwriting principles
• Understanding of insurance accounting principles
• Knowledge of Solvency Assessment Management
• Knowledge of the Short-Term and Long-Term insurance Acts
• Knowledge of Underwriting Management Agencies
• Knowledge of PFMA

• Reinsurance Management and Reporting
• Portfolio Management of Crop and Asset Business
• Underwriting functions for the Life Insurance business
• Compiles policies and procedures
