Senior Voice Engineer (VoIPNow, 3CX, Yeastar, Mitel PABX)

Role Accountabilities:

•  Lead a team of Voice Engineers in planning, spec’ing and building of voice solutions for the company’s customers.
• Maintain all aspects of the company’s national voice network including the core, hosted platforms and billing engine.
• Undertake voice fault investigations and implement resolutions in local and wide area environments.
• Liaise with upstream vendors. 
• Ensure proper configuration and deployment of ISP or customer voice equipment while adhering to the company''s standards and practices.
• Liaise with Project Management team, Network engineers and Service Desk Agents on a regular basis.

Critical Requirements - Skills,  Experience & Qualifications:

• Thorough understanding of SIP, RTP, codecs, call routing, voice billing. Excellent understanding of QoS and differentiated services
• Good understanding of MPLS, VRF and general networking
• Qualifications – SSCA or equivalent. Cisco CCNA Voice essential, CCNP advantageous. Mikrotik MTCRE essential, MTCINE preferred
• VoIPNow, 3CX, Yeastar, Mitel PABX experience essential. Yealink, Snom handset experience essential. Hands on experience in configuration and maintenance of Session Border Controllers. Asterisk experience advantageous
• Basic Linux experience
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Voice Engineer within an ISP environment
• Must be well spoken, have a good command of the English language and must be able to deal with customers in a professional manner
