Senior Data Scientist
POSITION INFO:
The Decision Scientist is responsible for building the required data insights and analytics. Model complex business problems, discovering insights and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, Machine Learning/Mining and visualisation techniques; Work closely with clients, data stewards, project/program managers, and other IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound organisational decisions; Leverage internal and, where applicable, external datasets to build and evolve, using “best practice” methodologies and statistical techniques. You must be proficient in tools such as Python,SAS, R, SPSS; Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms; Proficient in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig; Proficient in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting / predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimisation algorithms.
