POSITION INFO:
A Senior/Intermediate Application Support Engineer in the telecommunications sector is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of business-critical applications. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to support both internal teams and external clients.
ð Required Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in application support or a similar role, handling complex incidents and providing production support.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications and their architecture.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic) and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA).
- Solid knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and databases (MySQL, MongoDB, SQL, Oracle).
- Certifications:
- ITIL Foundation certification (or higher) is required.
- Any relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or database management would be advantageous.
