Services Manager with OpenText solutions

SUMMARY:
Datacentrix Cape Town is looking for a Service Manager with extensive experience in OpenText Solutions, Microsoft Solutions and general IT Standards i.e. networks, security, server architecture from a strategic and technical level.

POSITION INFO:

Critical Requirements - Skills,  Experience & Qualifications:

• Essential Matric or Grade 12
• Bachelors-degree or suitable IT Certification
• Extensive experience in OpenText Solutions, Microsoft Solutions and General IT Standards i.e. networks, security, server architecture
• Knowledge/ experience in project management- certification preferred
• At least 10 years’ experience in IT systems implementations
• Car and driver’s license.
• Experience in Project Management tools such as MS Projects or Smartsheets.

• Strong people leadership as well as team and individual people development skills
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful execution of projects
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Lead technical team with strategic solution crafting based on strategic input from client,
• Close corporation with a Solution Architect translating strategic approach to tactical execution steps
• Guidance and orientation of technical team on tactical activities
• Monitor and control of planned activities and resources
• Management of administrative and governance processes as dictated by client as well as Datacentrix
• BAU day to day operation with deep integration into client operational structure
• Government Director and above engagement capability
• Skill development of technical team in new technology as well as progressive development skill development in individuals and cross skill enablement to align with client strategic focus
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Create, enforce creation of, and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Prepare Project presentations and chair regular Project Meetings and Steering Committee Meetings
• Display consistent energy, drive, and persistence in order to deliver results.
• Ensure the correct escalation processes are followed and that Project Sponsors & Project Owners are kept abreast of any unresolved issues or risks.
