JOB SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Setter (Injection Moulding) to join their dynamic team in Pretoria.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description

Start-up machine at the beginning of the shift
Setting tools in accordance with priority plan and process work instruction (setting sheet)
Start-up assembly equipment used in moulding production section, troubleshoot on assembly stations, conduct red rabbit test prior to start up with QC inspector
Complete in-process monitoring documents, start-up checklist and any technical related documentation required for the injection moulding process
Obtain first off approval prior to commencement of production
Attend to process problems on machines
Document changes to process, report back on changes to Process Technician
Ensure that machines are operating at optimum cycle time, consistent with quality requirements and all-important safety requirements are functioning
Responsible for ensuring that operators and production output from machines against process plan
Complete last off process as per SOP
Assess last off against first off at the end of each production/tool change
Implement action plans/corrective action with regards to scrap control where necessary
Ensure high levels of housekeeping and plant maintenance
Raise job cards to tool room for any repair needed on tooling
Raise job cards to maintenance department for any repair needed on injection moulding machine or any auxiliary equipment
Obey all company rules and regulations, i.e.. Safety, quality, environmental, housekeeping, punctuality and time keeping

Minimum Qualification and Experience

ABET Level 4/ Matric
NQF level 4 in Setting Plastics Injection Moulding and /or
5 years in a plastic injection moulding environment
High level
Experience on Engel, Krauss Maffei and Hiatian machines
Experience with hot runner, sequential valve gating tooling with hydraulic

Good analytical skills
Teamwork and ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Able to take initiative
Ability to read diagrams and drawings related to tooling and machine
