POSITION INFO:
This is a senior-level finance leadership opportunity for a commercially astute CA(SA) to step into a nationally influential shared services function. The role carries full accountability for the operational and strategic performance of finance shared services, with direct impact on cost efficiency, financial control and service delivery across a complex group environment. It is designed for a finance leader who understands how to turn structure, systems and standards into measurable business performance, not just process compliance.

Operating at the centre of Group Finance, this position demands a blend of technical depth, leadership maturity and operational discipline. The mandate is clear: build scalable finance operations, enforce strong governance and elevate the quality, speed and reliability of financial services across the organisation.

Duties:

• Develop and execute the Finance Shared Services strategy
• Define, implement and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and service delivery
• Oversee monthly financial close processes in line with IFRS
• Manage Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets functions
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with corporate policy
• Lead centralised creditors and fixed assets functions
• Oversee reconciliations, payment cycles and asset capitalisation
• Resolve internal and external stakeholder finance queries
• Review and analyse cash flow forecasts and investigate variances
• Provide oversight and guidance on tax compliance and tax-related decisions
• Lead month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Build, lead and develop high-performing finance shared services teams
• Drive performance management, succession planning and team capability development

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom or BCom Honours in Accounting or equivalent.
• Professional qualification CA(SA).

• 3–7 years’ relevant financial and management experience
• Minimum of 5 years in a management or supervisory capacity
• Proven experience working in SAP environments (preferably SAP R/3 FI, SD, MM modules)
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, Income Tax and VAT legislation
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability
• Demonstrated exposure to fixed assets, creditor management and tax compliance
