Sheetmetal Team Leader

SUMMARY:
Our Client has an opportunity available for a qualified and experienced Sheetmetal Team Leader to be based in the Port Elizabeth area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric/Technical Equivalent, clear criminal record
• Sheetmetal Trade Test or Boilermaker Trade Test
• Minimum 5 years post trade test experience in a heavy industry or Sheetmetal manufacturing environment, including the use of electric guillotines, bending brakes, former machines and plasma cutter
• Experience in staff management, performance management and team leadership
• Driver''s License: Code B
• Good working knowledge of General Machinery Regulations
• Ability to operate plasma cutter and nesting software an advantage.
• Experience and understanding of various welding specifications and quality control measures

KPAs:

• Developing and Fabrication of sheet metal ducting, fittings and components predominantly for the HVAC industry
• Drive production and efficiency and oversee the achievement of daily targets
• Preventative maintenance as per maintenance schedules for machinery
• Fabricate and weld components including pipe work, structures and steel work according to engineering specifications and safety standards
• Install, repair, maintain and upgrade mechanical systems and equipment
