JOB SUMMARY:
The Shift Artisan will be based in Roodepoort and is responsible for:
- Driving equipment reliability.
- Ensuring equipment safety is managed and maintained.
- Operator upskilling.
- Expeditious safe execution of change overs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibility Areas:
- Identify operator skills gap and provide training to create competency.
- Execute inspection PMs
- Execute corrective PMs.
- Attends to machine breakdowns.
- Completes a job card breakdown and provide root cause.
- Identify equipment defects and report to maintenance lead.
- Participate in problem solving.
- Implement loop closure actions where applicable.
- Conduct factory walkabout audits and report defects.
- Conduct machine monthly audits and related repairs.
- Manage a team of Setters on Shift

Experience and Competencies required:
- Millwright trade test.
- Experience 5 years as an artisan.
- Good understanding of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Good communication skills.
- Sound troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of reliability centered maintenance.
- Understanding of 5Y problem solving tool and implementation thereof.
- Good understanding of engineering standards.
- Sense of urgency.
- Team player who displays initiative.
- Good interpersonal skills, hard work and reliable.
