SUMMARY:
Our client an importer of local and international clothing brands is currently looking for an experienced Shipping Co-Ordinator with strong knowledge in imports and the ability to manage all shipments

POSITION INFO:
Position: Shipping Co-Ordinator

Location: Durban, KZN

Industry: Apparel and Footwear Imports

Minimum Qualifications:

Matric
Min 5 years exp with an importing or shipping company
2-3 years Apparel and Footwear Exp
MS Excel is compulsory
Accounting exp would be advantageous

Critical Personal Interpersonal Skills:

High Energy
Strong Attention to Detail
Highly organised

Roles and Responsibilities

Co-ordinating shipments between the procurement department, supplier and the forwarder
Gathering shipping documents and maintaining files
Prepping and supplier clearing instructions to clearing agents
Calculating and processing supplier payments
Reconciliation of foreign supplier accounts
Maintaining shipment status schedules
Providing evidence of imports
