JOB SUMMARY:
A well-known and established mining distribution commodity company requires the above to manage all shipping /export documentation, liaising with freight forwarders to ensure that all customers expectations are met in terms of exported product.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Previous experience having worked in an export / shipping role ideally within a mining or engineering or chemical or related manufacturing company is preferred.
The successful candidate must have strong shipping experience having dealt with incoterms (FOB,CIF.FOR ETC).
Must be able to maintain accurate stock recons.
Must be able to manage demurrage costs
Must have good communication skills.
Must be computer literate with intermediate excel experience being able to do pivot tables.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Arranging export documentation and certification for shipping including proforma invoices and packing lists, health certificates, certificates of origin and certificates of analysis.
Liaising with freight forwarders regarding quotations, container availability, shipping and stack dates, bill of lading, sea waybills etc.
Verifying invoices against estimates provided by the freight forwarders and managed cost centre for export expenses.
Managing orders for African countries internally and liaised with relevant departments to manage order fulfilment and on-time deliveries and collections.
Conducting full monthly reporting analysis on export of products.
Liaising with departments in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant export activities and support in relation to the organisations sales, purchasing, materials management, production and overall operating functions.
Preparing, planning and executing import and export shipments.
Tracking, monitoring and reporting the status of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure proof of delivery was received.
Providing regular feedback to customers, clients and relevant internal departments concerning status of shipments.
Completing shipping documentation including shipping instructions, invoices and packing lists in accordance with client and company requirements.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
