Shopper, Category and Sales Manager

SUMMARY:
A leading, international FMCG firm currently has a vacancy for a Sales Manager, focusing on shopper, category and sales strategies and the implementation thereof.

POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose

• Responsible for leading the team that develops Brand strategies in the in-store/trade environment through understanding shopper behaviour
• Strategic involvement in Category- led organization providing insight generation and action planning within the sales team
• Lead of revenue growth management process through the lens of assortment and innovation landing
• Interface between Brand Marketing & Sales Key Account Managers

Principle Accountabilities

• Have an understanding of a channel/franchise level forecast for the year with documented assumptions/drivers
• Develop and lead, Assortment, Pricing, Promotions, TTC, category and Channel Strategy Develop and set-up processes, tools, meetings and KPIs to support
• Consolidate analytics & shopper research for opportunity/gaps identified to help further define how to close to gap
• Optimise pack-price architecture across pack sizes
• Develop Optimal POP strategy
• New Product Launches Work with the category team to ensure our plans are relevant within each category and retailer, supporting with competitor and market monitoring on pricing and promotional activity.
• Customer Sales Forecasting & Sales Reporting
• Work with External Customer and Agencies to strive to limit contact points and streamline the flow of data between organisations.
• Perfect Store Project including Retail Environment classifications, MSL etc

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor of commerce degree or suitable tertiary qualification
• 4 – 5 years experience in a senior Shopper & Category Management role
• Experience in - In store excellence
• Functional experience in a FMCG Consumer Goods Company
