JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Insurance Sector is looking for a Short Term Insurance Broker / Administrator to join their team in George.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful applicant must have a sound knowledge and experience in Short Term Insurance.

Brokerage, Claims, Policy Administration and Underwriting experience required.

Responsibilities and knowledge:

Liaise with international clients on all aspects of the claims process
Prepare new business quotations
Accept claims from clients, brokerages or related third parties
Capture new business policies
Endorsements, Amendments and Renewals on policies
Analysis and claims / Rejection of claims
Ensure cover exists and that claims are completed
Negotiate claim settlements
Following up with Insurers / Call Centers regarding claims progress
Handle client queries effectively and professionally
Sending notification to clients upon completion and repudiation of claims
Underwriting in accordance with company policies and procedures
Monitoring risk exposure in terms of company policies and procedures
Discussion with clients around risk mitigation and risk action on policies

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12
Computer Literate (advanced) with excellent internet and emails communication skills
RE5 Accredited
Relevant Short Term Insurance Qualification
Product knowledge and completed training
Minimum FAIS Credits applicable
2 - 5 Years working experience as a broker, short term insurance claims administrator or underwriter

Self starter taking own initiative in problem solving
Fully bilingual
Able to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills (inter personal, written and verbal)
Valid Driver's License
