A Short Term insurance Company is seeking an Actuary for a Short Term Reserving and Capital Manager role within their Corporate Actuarial Division

They have an exciting opportunity available within the Corporate Actuarial Team.  They are in search of a dynamic individual to support the Short Term Reinsurance Specialist function.  This position needs to be assumed by and individual who is excited by the prospect of tackling something technical, ever-evolving and challenging.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Successful Candidate would be responsible for:

Monthly/ annual financial and regulatory reporting including calculating the IFRS and SAM technical provisions as well as the SCR

Maintaining and calibrating the development factors used for reserving purposes

Adapting and maintaining the existing reserving and capital SQL processes

Qualifications and Expertise

They are looking for someone who:

Has passed all actuarial exams, or is very close to completion

Has 4-6 years work experience (reserving / capital)

Has had substantial exposure to financial and regulatory reporting

Is proficient in ResQ with 1-2 years modelling experience

Has Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail

Is output driven and willing to get their hands dirty
