Intermediate Actuary to specialise in
ShortâTerm (NonâLife) Pricing, gaining handsâon exposure to live portfolios while progressing steadily toward

ShortâTerm Insurance business that places strong emphasis on pricing sophistication, portfolio performance and actuarial best practice. The organisation is known for developing actuarial professionals through meaningful pricing work, strong mentorship and ongoing exam support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform actuarial pricing analyses for shortâterm insurance products
- Build, maintain and enhance pricing models to support profitability and growth
- Analyse portfolio performance, loss ratios and pricing adequacy
- Support rate reviews, product changes and pricing recommendations
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:- BSc in Actuarial Science or related qualification
- Registered with the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA)
Experience:- 2–5 years’ actuarial experience within NonâLife / ShortâTerm Insurance pricing
- Demonstrated exam progress with a clear goal of achieving FASSA
Skills:- Strong analytical and problemâsolving capability
- Advanced Excel skills; exposure to R, Python or VBA advantageous
- Ability to translate technical pricing insights into businessâfocused recommendations
Nonânegotiables:- Shortâterm (nonâlife) pricing experience
- Ongoing commitment to actuarial exam progression
