Our client based in Durban is looking for a Site Acquisition Specialist to be responsible to acquire BTS sites for the company, by negotiating new ground leases, and managing all permitting activities related to the company strategy.

Summary:
The Site Acquisition Specialist is responsible to acquire BTS sites for the company, by negotiating new ground leases, and managing all permitting activities related to the company’s strategy. The Site Acquisition Specialist will monitor the overall site acquisition process using best practices and ensure that all contractors follow the guidelines set by the company for acquiring new sites. The incumbent will ensure all contractors obtain proper permits at costs within parameters set by the company. The Site Acquisition Specialist works closely with the Land Management team, the Collocation team, Sales, Regional Site Supervisors and Implementation Project Managers to ensure objectives are achieved for the Region.
Essential Duties:
- Liaise with the approved acquisition contractors on initial site surveys and/or inspections for new site acquisition.
- Coordinate the addition of new nominal points to add to the Site Acquisition Process.
- Manage all lease negotiations for the acquired sites with the landlords.
- Manage the permitting process and facilitate all issues relating to site build permits.
- Partner with internal and external to obtain key site-specific information to assist in permitting.
- Manage the process of obtaining relevant information and documentation from Local Authorities, Government Department, EIA and CAA.
- Production and analysis of the weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
- Manage the Procure to Pay process for all Contracting Companies.
- Timely update all relevant tools and systems to reflect all performance data within Site Acquisition.
Qualification & Experience:
Qualification
- Relevant Diploma / Degree, and / or extensive related experience
- Town Planning certification
Experience
- 5 - 8 years’ experience in Telecommunication industry, site acquisition, land and property environment. Working knowledge of the wireless tower industry including tower siting and construction, land, tenant and tower related documents, permitting, engineering and EIA / CAA compliance required.
