SUMMARY:

My client is seeking an experienced 3-Phase Electrician to join our team as a Site Electrician, responsible for electrical maintenance and support across our facilities and buildings.

POSITION INFO:

The Site Electrician will be responsible for the day-to-day electrical maintenance and support of TridentSA’s facilities, ensuring that all electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves routine and preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repair work on both single-phase and 3-phase installations, including DB boards, lighting, power circuits, and associated equipment. The Site Electrician will respond to breakdowns, manage urgent electrical issues, and support site operations while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Working independently on site, the incumbent will liaise with site management and contractors as needed, keep accurate maintenance records, and play a key role in minimising downtime and ensuring the ongoing reliability of the building’s electrical infrastructure.

Education:

Qualified Electrician (Trade Test essential)
3–5 years’ experience as a site or maintenance electrician
Proven experience working with 3-phase systems
Valid Wireman’s License

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently on site
Reliable, well-organised, and safety-conscious
Carry out routine and preventative electrical maintenance on site
Fault finding and repairs on 3-phase and single-phase systems
Installation and maintenance of:
- DB boards
- Lighting, power circuits and distribution systems
- Motor control panels and associated equipment
Ensure all electrical work complies with OHS Act and relevant SANS standards
