R1.3m - R1.6m TCTC (includes medical aid / pension contributions)

SUMMARY:
A position has opened up for a qualified Site Engineer with GCC in the East Rand.

POSITION INFO:

Your responsibilities will include:

Manage Maintenance-, Project Managers and Design Office Manager
Ensure compliance with the OHS Act
Develop strategies to improve engineering functions
Support Production projects and team
Cost control, budgets, allocation of funds to feasible projects
Manage service agreements and contracts
Determine risk areas and develop mitigation programs
Manage maintenance programs
Create engineering policies and procedures
Mentoring of other staff
Safety management
Focus on customer service

Qualifications needed:

BEng Mechanical Engineering degree from an established university (essential)
GCC certificate (essential)
Professional membership would be advantageous

Experience needed:

Project Management experience
Previous experience managing complex and technical teams
At least 8 years experience in a similar role in a production environment
Above average English skills - written and spoken
Excellent decision making skills
Excellent interpersonal skills

It is essential that you have these as a minimum before applying:

GCC passed
BEng Mechanical Engineer degree
More than 8 years experience in a senior engineering role in a production environment
Previous experience managing large and technical teams
