Site Engineer (GCC)

SUMMARY:
A position has opened up for a qualified Site Engineer with GCC in the East Rand.

POSITION INFO:

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage Maintenance-, Project Managers and Design Office Manager
• Ensure compliance with the OHS Act
• Develop strategies to improve engineering functions
• Support Production projects and team
• Cost control, budgets, allocation of funds to feasible projects
• Manage service agreements and contracts
• Determine risk areas and develop mitigation programs
• Manage maintenance programs
• Create engineering policies and procedures
• Mentoring of other staff
• Safety management
• Focus on customer service

Qualifications needed:

• BEng Mechanical Engineering degree from an established university (essential)
• GCC certificate (essential)
• Professional membership would be advantageous

Experience needed:

• Project Management experience
• Previous experience managing complex and technical teams
• At least 8 years experience in a similar role in a production environment
• Above average English skills - written and spoken
• Excellent decision making skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills

It is essential that you have these as a minimum before applying:

1. GCC passed
2. BEng Mechanical Engineer degree
3. More than 8 years experience in a senior engineering role in a production environment
4. Previous experience managing large and technical teams
