Site Logistics Manager

SUMMARY:
An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Logistic Manager to direct all logistics activities, ensuring on-time delivery of products, in a cost efficient way, and in compliance with laws, regulations and group directives.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related fields
• At least 4 years’ supervisory experience will be required
• Previous experience in logistics management is essential
• Must have experience in relevant SAP modules and IT tools

 
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Ensuring smooth material flow and correct storage of all materials, including raw materials, packaging and intermediates.
• Managing a logistics team, settings and follow up on objectives, and implementing skills training plans.
• Validating, adjusting and coordinating production planning with reference to the demand plan, supplied by Supply Chain.
• Planning and on time purchasing of local, global and intercompany raw-materials and packaging.
• Steering the tolling operations for formulation and packing and ensuring supply of the respective products to customers.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure competitiveness through LEAN approach and appropriated KPI’s.
• Preparing and monitoring the budget of related costs centres and resources for safe and efficient logistics operations.
• Ensuring operations execution are compliant with safety, employee health, quality and environmental laws and policies.
• Communicating, requesting and providing feedback with internal and external stakeholders.
