SUMMARY:
To provide frontline leadership on project site level to the team by being the Project Manager's representative to oversee the overall construction activities, arranging site access, line outages and assist with line crossing arrangements, progress reporting, quality control of the project works, line inspections for take-over/handover, site administration and the management of site resources to drive production performance and safety of all resources and activities on the project site.

Purpose of the Job: To provide frontline leadership on project site level to the team by being the Project Manager''s representative to oversee the overall construction activities, arranging site access, line outages and assist with line crossing arrangements, progress reporting, quality control of the project works, line inspections for take-over/handover, site administration and the management of site resources to drive production performance and safety of all resources and activities on the project site.

Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):
- Monitor and ensure compliance of contractors and personnel to project risk and safety plan
-Resolve disputes and conflicts among team members
- Manage site team and update on site activities on project execution plan
- Manage control measures for cost, time and quality
- Provide effective and timeous feedback to PM’s
- Monitor and verify that contracts are managed in a way that is fair to clients and the contractors
- Maintain proper site administration
- Ensure that the materials supplied by the Client/Contractor are correct
- Monitor and report quantities and quality of materials issued by the Client/Contractor on site
- Ensure that the materials supplied by the Client/contractor are correct

- Ensure materials are stored according to related specifications and standards
- Record all the defect materials and submit a report to the relevant stakeholders
- Keep accurate site diary and log sheets
- Supply all information daily/weekly for the completion and management of Site Management System
- Manage drawing register and updates on site and report
- Manage the commissioning process of new assets.

Requirements: Technical qualification (NTC 6 or T3) with 10 years in High Voltage environment or BTech in an Electrical Engineering Heavy current related field with 7 years in High Voltage environment. Familiarity with the Eskom environment will be an added advantage.

Other competencies and requirements: The candidate must demonstrate - Good communication and report writing, business acumen, teamwork and collaboration, planning and organising.
