Requirements:

Foster a culture of operations excellence across the organisation
Supporting and being accountable for production environments, with a focus on uptime, observability, and reliability
Build automation across all of operations (Infrastructure as code)
Optimize for speed and reliability of continuous deployment
Support the team in scaling of ML pipelines, contributing where possible
Participate in system design across engineering

Need-to-have

Strong background in Software Engineering, able to code in one or more languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, and Golang, proven track record with developing for production
Experience with distributed storage technologies such as NFS, HDFS, Clustered Postgres and Amazon S3, as well as dynamic resource management frameworks (Apache Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn)
Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
Experience in infrastructure / operations / IT, either in the capacity of DevOps or SRE roles, or as a sole focus
Managing the continuous integration/continuous development pipeline (CI/CD).
Deep knowledge of version control (such as Git) and observability tooling such as Grafana
An appreciation for Infrastructure as code
5+ years working in an Engineering role
