Are you an adept IT Engineer ready for a stimulating opportunity? If you're a whiz in Microsoft administration, particularly in O365 and Azure, our client a South African BPO wants you to join their thriving technology team in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs, in supporting their international clients.

As they embrace a cloud-first approach and integrate new digital channels, their Cloud Engineering team is leading the charge.

Role Description :

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer your role will encompass the full spectrum of Microsoft platform responsibilities, including architecture, implementation, operation, documentation, and support. You'll play a pivotal role within their broader IT team, delivering top-notch solutions and services across their organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical lead for Microsoft Cloud architecture and administration, driving operations and projects within Azure.
• Engage in Service Design sessions to capture and document technical requirements alongside the IT Infrastructure team.
• Offer valuable insight and guidance on Microsoft technologies.
• Design and execute monitoring protocols for our Microsoft technology stack.
• Develop comprehensive support documentation and aid in the transition of new functions.
• Continuously enhance Data Loss Prevention and Information Security capabilities.
• This role may require after-hours work.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years+ in the Infrastructure environment.
• Mandatory Microsoft/Azure Certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Microservices, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with Microsoft Servers 2012-2019 and familiarity with all MS Server roles.
• Extensive experience across the Microsoft stack :

          o Azure AD, Security and Conditional Access Policies

          o Virtual Server, Serverless Functions, SaaS, AVD

          o Network including but not limited to WAF, APPGW, NSG, Routing

          o MS Compliance, Security, Exchange, Teams Administration

          o Strong knowledge on SharePoint and Endpoint Management MDM/MAM

          o Microsoft Defender, Configuration and Managements

          o PowerShell and scripting skills

          o Strong documentation skills

          o Strong troubleshooting skills

• Working knowledge of Information Security and Compliance.
• Role is in-office

Desired Requirements:

• Experience in configuring and managing Switches, Routers, and Unifi.
• Proficiency in Security and Risk Assessment.
• Familiarity with software platforms such as Forcepoint, Mimecast, HyperV, Lansweeper, and PRTG.
• Understanding of ITIL framework and Project Management principles.
• Experience with offshore companies is highly desirable.
