SUMMARY:
A Software Development company specialising in custom software for various clients, based in Pretoria, is looking for a Snr Java Developer (can work remote) to join their team. If you meet the below requirements, please reach out.

POSITION INFO:
Software Development
– Java 11+, Spring Framework
- Reactive front-end development using an established framework (e.g. Angular/React/Vue)
- SQL and basic relational database design (PostgreSQL or similar)
- REST API Development
- Git and CI/CD concepts
- Software testing
- Build tooling (Maven)
- Docker
- Automated testing tools (Selenium or similar)
- Static code analysis and code quality
- Software design and analysis
- Software maintenance
- Process improvement
- Documentation skills including visualisation software tools (Visio/Draw.IO etc)
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Experience of working with Business Analysts and Client Representatives
- Experience of working with end users
- Understanding the big picture in relation to the current task
- Creative/imaginative thinking
- Understanding of Vanguard and Giotto capabilities (to be learned during first few months on
the job)
- An ability to implement algorithms used for financial calculations and valuations
- Strong software development skills (understanding of SOLID principles, Design Patterns etc…)

- AWS/Azure
- Container orchestration
