Social Media and Community Manager Johannesburg | Permanent Africrest Properties is seeking a creative, digitally savvy, and strategic Social Media and Community Manager to lead and grow our online presence across our expanding residential property portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing influencer partnerships, driving social media performance, and strengthening Africrest''s position as the premium lifestyle brand of choice for young professionals. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute Africrest''s social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging platforms. Own the complete content creation process, including concept development, copywriting, photography, videography, editing, and publishing. Maintain a proactive content calendar aligned with campaigns, seasonal promotions, resident events, and key business initiatives. Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and enquiries professionally and within agreed service levels. Coordinate and manage paid TikTok campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and external digital marketing agency. Produce monthly social media performance reports, providing strategic insights, recommendations, and opportunities for continuous improvement. Analyse campaign performance, audience engagement, and digital trends to optimise future content and platform performance. Capture high-quality photo and video content across Africrest estates, lifestyle campaigns, and resident events. Create engaging digital content including reels, TikToks, stories, carousels, and static posts that reflect Africrest''s premium brand identity. Manage relationships with content creators and influencers, including sourcing, negotiating, briefing, approving content, and monitoring campaign performance. Ensure all content aligns with Africrest''s brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual identity. Work closely with the Marketing Manager, Events Coordinator, Junior Marketing Assistant, and external agencies to deliver integrated marketing campaigns. Support resident events through content creation, live social media coverage, and promotional campaigns before and after each event. Stay ahead of digital marketing trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats to keep Africrest''s social presence innovative and competitive. Minimum Requirements Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Multimedia Design, Communications, or a related field. Minimum 4 years'' experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing. Proven experience managing social media accounts for lifestyle, hospitality, property, retail, or consumer-focused brands. Strong portfolio demonstrating personally created social media content, particularly short-form video content such as Reels and TikToks. Experience managing influencer and content creator partnerships, including campaign coordination and budget management. Strong understanding of social media analytics with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations. Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, social media scheduling platforms, and digital analytics tools. Excellent photography, videography, copywriting, and content editing skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for resident events and content creation.
