POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a hands-on Software Developer to join a small in-house development team. The successful candidate will work with an established business-critical application environment built primarily around C#, VB.NET and Microsoft SQL Server . This position is suited to someone comfortable maintaining, improving and extending existing systems rather than working exclusively on new development. Key Responsibilities Maintain and support existing Windows-based applications Diagnose and resolve bugs in C# and VB.NET Develop new functionality within an existing application architecture Write and optimise SQL Server queries Develop stored procedures, views and related database objects Investigate and resolve user-reported system issues Assist with testing and deployment Refactor and improve legacy code Maintain system stability and business continuity Document technical changes Work closely with the Senior Developer Contribute to future system modernisation initiatives Minimum Requirements Solid C# development experience Strong Microsoft SQL Server capability Working knowledge of VB.NET Experience maintaining or extending established \/ legacy applications Strong debugging and troubleshooting ability Familiarity with Git or other source-control systems Comfortable working within a small development team Strong focus on system stability and reliability Advantageous WinForms or WPF Manufacturing, logistics, ERP or operational systems Reporting tools Application migration \/ modernisation Basic networking and deployment knowledge Employment Type: Full-Time | On-site Salary: R35,000 - R45,000 CTC per month Experience: 3+ years preferred CV Submissions: Please note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
