Software Developer

SUMMARY:
A well established manufacturer is in search of a Software Developer to build and maintain enterprise grade software applications. Applicants must have at least 5 years’ experience as a developer preferably with senior level experience in developing desktop, web and mobile applications.

POSITION INFO:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works with business analysts, application owners, users and external development teams to ideate and define requirements
• Performs detailed analysis on new applications and enhancement requests
• Translates requirements into technical specifications and design documents
• Designs client-side and server-side architecture and build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Develops and manages well-functioning databases and applications and develops integration between various commercial applications (JDE, OnBase, SharePoint e.tc) and bespoke applications
• Creates security and data protection settings Tests application back-end and front-end to ensure correctness, responsiveness and efficiency
• Validate solution accuracy and relevance with stakeholders and train users on developed applications  Troubleshoots , debugs and upgrades software applications
• Prepares reports , manuals and other documentation on the architecture, status, operation and maintenance of software applications Resolves development related service desk requests

Qualiifications:

• BSc Computer Science/ BSc Information Technology/ BEng Computer Engineering/ BSc Software Engineering
• 5 years’ experience as a developer preferably with senior level experience in developing desktop, web and mobile applications

Requirements:

• A customer focused analytical thinker, with good attention to detail, problem solving, and communication skills who ensures high quality output
• Good understanding of integration architectures and modern application/web/mobile design standards
• Have development experience with either Oracle/JDE, Microsoft SharePoint, Hyland OnBase and or Microsoft Azure
