Software Developer (Cape Town)

SUMMARY:
A leading messaging solutions provider is looking for a Software Developer to join their company. You will be working in a team-centered environment, and you will get exposure to the latest technologies.

POSITION INFO:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining application software using informal specifications as input. You will also independently produce informal specifications and technical designs. You will be required to develop and maintain features on HTTP REST based APIs, Unit tests, integration tests and automated user interface tests

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a Software Developer role (Required)

Experience in the following (Required)

developing software utilizing various coding languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, AngularJS, PHP, Perl, Mason, Java, Spring Framework, MySQL, Jasmine, JUnit, GitLab CI, Docker, AWS, Less, VS Code

software design and development in a test-driven environment

coding languages (e.g. C++, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems such as AngularJS

databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks (e.g., Hibernate)

ITIL as a Technology framework and ITSM (IT Service Management) as a process and/or practice, particularly with Service Transition and Service Operations

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Computer Science / Software Engineering, or related qualification (Required)
