Scottish Software Consultancy that work with a range of really high-profile clients are looking for multiple Java Developers to join their Agile Squads. Opportunity to work fully remote, gain experience working on a variety of projects using really modern tech.
A really well-known Scottish Software Consultancy that have been operating successfully now for over ten years are looking to bolster their ranks with a few skilled Java Developers. The company work with multiple high-profile clients, (and some really interesting tech start-ups) from a range of different sectors including; finance, public sector, media, gaming and Software Engineering companies. They have a great reputation of producing really high-quality software products - and as a result are trusted by some of the biggest names in tech in the UK.
It probably comes as no surprise then the company place a really strong focus on best practices (Clean Code, unit testing, TDD) and are looking for Engineers that are strong advocates for these principals with their project teams.
You''ll be joining one of their remote agile squads where you will be tasked to develop enterprise level software solutions from the initial design stage straight through to production. This could range from working with a new start-up to create their app from scratch, to joining a globally known company - so you''ll experience a real variety in terms of work.
You''ll largely be working with modern Java, so you''ll ideally come with several years of commercial experience backing you. With the majority of projects now hosted on AWS, with a Microservices architecture - so experience with these would stand you in good sted. However, the company are continually investigating new approaches, libraries and architectures to stay ahead of the curve - so are ideally looking for creative technologist that can recommend / suggest new tech to implement.
You''ll ideally have the following;
** Strong commercial experience with Java
** Experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure or GCP)
** Knowledge of Microservices / API''s
** Solid awareness of best practices (clean code, unit testing, TDD etc).
This role would suit an ambitious Java Developer looking to join a really strong technical environment, that''s keen to gain experience in a variety of different projects and sectors.
In return these roles can offer salaries from £40k to £75k (depending on level of experience and ability) + a range of competitive benefits. In addition, this role can be done 100% remotely on a permanent basis, from anywhere within the UK.
